New Segment - Who Knew?

Hello all!

You know I love to bring you deals and share tips (when I can) about saving money, time, and utilizing things in new/different ways.

So...welcome to the Who Knew segment on I Heart Coupons!  My mom bought me a daily calendar if tips for saving time and money...right up my alley.  So I am catching up to the current day and read about some very cool tips.  I would like to share them with you as I come across them.

I also found that Who Knew was a website with some good information.  Just wanted to give them credit, but I will post some awesome tips here.  Stay tuned for more, but let's start now!!

Who Knew....

If it feels like the minute you're done dusting your glass tables you have a layer of dust covering them again, use fabric softener for a different purpose.  Mix a few tablespoons in a spray bottle of water and wipe the surface with it.  Buff with soft, dry towel, and it will keep dust away. Walgreens Scenario 05/29/11

UPDATE #2:  I substituted the Listerine Pocket Packs 72 count for the crackerfuls...it increases the OOP about $2, but you still get the $2RR at the end of the transaction.  Hope this works for you!

UPDATE: The applied Nutrition code (5335) from the June Walgreens booklet BEEPed at the register.  Not sure why, coupon states Applied Nutrition Suppliment, and that is what we are buying.  My cashier pushed it through, so I hope yours does, too!  One thing to consider - if your cashier pushes the $5 off, have them do it LAST...otherwise it will not take other MQs without additional items.  Don't ask...just have them do it last to avoid other BEEPs!  SIGH...Why does Wag-in can have to be so hard sometimes!  Everything else, worked like a charm.  Good luck!

• You MUST have a CVS ExtraCare card (free in-store) in order to get the sale prices and Extra Care Bucks (ECB) back.
• ECBs print at the end/bottom of your receipt

Now...You can save the $3ECB for next week to start with OR you can pick up some toilet paper! This is how I get free or cheap toilet paper, as the ECB is one less thing I have to keep track of in my binder or lose out it if it expires!

LINGO for this week:
ECB = Extra Care Bucks, printed at the end of receipt after transaction to be used on your next purchase
CRT = Cash Register Tape, coupon can print on receipt or at the Red Scanner Machine
Limit X = The limit of deals per CVS Card.  Once you have reached the limit, no other ECBs will print for that specific deal.

No Coupons 05/29/11

BAD NEWS:

This Sunday, 05/29/11, there will be NO COUPON INSERTS in the paper.  Please make a note and put your paper(s) on vacation.  You will have two options - 1) Credit your account for an additional week OR 2) Donate the cost of that paper to the local schools.

GOOD NEWS:
We should be getting THREE inserts the following Sunday, 06/05/11!  We will be getting a PG, SS, and RP!

You've Got Mail.....check your inbox!!!  I got a Suh-Weet email from SweetBay for $10/$40 good through 05/30/11!  If your Publix takes them as a competitor...that is really sweet!

IMPORTANT:  I got an e-mail from loyal reader LINDA stating she got this after she came home from her shopping trip today.  No problem! Remember: If the shopping trip is within the dates of the coupon - ANY COUPON - take the coupons and your receipt back to the store.  They will review your receipt and give you the cash back!  Just tell them you forgot the coupons at home.

I have personally done this at Publix, SweetBay, and Winn Dixie without any problems at Customer Service.
